Aitutaki, Cook Islands

sunny 32 °C

An hours North of Rarotonga lies Aitutaki, it's what you call a 'Paradise Island' ... got to be one of the most beautiful places on this earth .. a stunning little island in the middle of the South Pacific. The island is very small and not much there (they have a supply ship visiting the island only once a month and they look upon Rarotonga as a city in comparison) ... everyone runs on 'Cook Island time' so it's a very chilled pace of life ... it's an awesome place and the people are wonderful.

We spent 5 nights in our over water bungalow in the huge turquoise Lagoon and 5 nights on the other side of the island on the beach.
Aitutaki was paradise and we loved every minute, we spent most of our time in the water, snorkelling and seeing all the amazing sea life ... from the colourful array of fish to the stingrays, turtles and the huge1 metre long clams.
